Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, a leading 2027 Oyo State governorship aspirant, has congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alhaji Akeem Babatunde Abbas, following his victory at the just-concluded union election.
Describing Alhaji Abbas’ emergence as well-deserved and inspiring, Engr. Alao stated that the confidence reposed in him and his team by journalists across Oyo State reflects their trust in his integrity, competence, and leadership capacity.
He noted that Alhaji Akeem Babatunde Abbas, a seasoned and forward-thinking media professional, assumes leadership at a crucial period for journalism in Nigeria, marked by rapid technological changes, ethical challenges, and heightened concerns about journalist safety.
