The political momentum behind All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, popularly known as Alao Allow, received a major boost on Sunday as party
leaders, elders, women, and youth stakeholders in Ward 12, Iroko, Akinyele Local Government Area, unanimously adopted his ambition as the project of the entire Akinyele APC.
The well-attended ward meeting, held at the APC Ward 12 at St. Thomas Primary School, Iroko, saw a massive turnout of party faithful from both the ward and local government levels who converged to pledge loyalty and mobilize support for Alao-Allow’s Redemption Mission 2027 for Oyo State.
The meeting had in attendance a broad spectrum of the party structure, including the party leader, Barr. Gbenga Akinrinade, APC Chairman in Akinyele Local Government Area, Comr. Femi
Adigun; Lukman Ajadi, Secretary, Ward 12 Chairman, Mr. Mukaila Agunbiade; Jimoh Abdulwaheed Olanrewaju, Ajani Musliu, women leaders; youth leaders; as well as elders, unit leaders, and party stalwarts across the 12 wards of Akinyele LGA.
In a rare show of unity, speaker after speaker delivered goodwill messages affirming their total and unshaken support for Engr. Alao’s governorship aspiration, describing him as “a competent
son of Akinyele with the capacity to redeem Oyo State.”
Setting the tone, Ward 12 Chairman, Mr. Ganiyu Oyewole, said the ward was proud to produce a governorship aspirant of Alao’s calibre. “Allow-Alao is not a stranger to us. He is our son, our brother, and a consistent party man. Ward 12 Iroko stands strong behind him. From here, the work of delivering Akinyele for APC starts,” he declared to a chorus of approval.
The APC Local Government Chairman, Comr. Femi Adigun, went further to declare Alao Allow’s ambition a local government project. “This is no longer about Ward 12 alone. As of today, the entire Akinyele APC has adopted Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao as our sole governorship project. Every leader, every member must return to their units and preach this gospel.
In his remarks, the leader of the party. Barr. Oyewale Akinrinade, described Alao Allow as the most prepared aspirant in the race, citing his professional background, statewide acceptability, and loyalty to the party. “I know what it takes to lead. Alao has the education, exposure, experience, and ethics. He is not a political tourist. He has paid his dues. Akinyele must not play second fiddle in 2027. This is our time, and Alao is our man,” Barr. Akinrinade stated.
The women and youth wings also delivered strong solidarity messages, assured that “Akinyele women will knock on every door” for Alao-Allow, while Youth Leader, promised “to deliver the
votes of every polling unit” for the aspirant.
Responding to the avalanche of endorsements, an elated Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao thanked the leaders and members of Ward 12 and Akinyele APC for the confidence reposed in him, promising not to disappoint them.
“I am overwhelmed by this love. Truly Charity begins at home. For my own ward and local government to own this project like this, it means God has gone ahead of us,” Alao said.
He enjoined every member to see the Redemption Mission 2027 as a personal assignment. “This victory will not be Alao’s alone. It will bring glory to Akinyele Local Government Area. When Oyo State works again, Akinyele will be referenced. So I beg you, do your best in your unit, in your street, in your family. Talk to one person daily. No leader is too big to canvass. No member is too
small to mobilize,” he charged.
Engr.
