APC chieftain Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, popularly known as Allow Alao, has expressed deep grief over the death of Alh. Waheed Olajide, former Secretary to the Oyo State Government under the administration of the late Sen. Abiola Ajimobi.
In a condolence statement issued on Tuesday in Ibadan, Engr. Alao described the late Alh. Olajide as one of Oyo State’s finest administrators whose life was dedicated to service, integrity and the development of the Pacesetter State.
“I received with shock and sadness the news of the passing of our father, leader and elder statesman, Alh. Waheed Olajide,” Alao said.
“Alh. Olajide was a quintessential public servant. As Secretary to the Oyo State Government, he served with diligence, wisdom and humility. He was the definition of a loyal party man and a stabilizer in government.”
The Chairman of Cecey Investment Ltd and Allow Alao Foundation noted that the late SSG played a critical role in coordinating government policies and ensuring smooth administration during the Ajimobi-led government between 2011 and 2019.
