A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, popularly known as Allow Alao, has congratulated the party’s Oyo North Senatorial candidate and former Head of Service in the state, Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, MFR, on the occasion of her birthday.
In a congratulatory message released to journalists late on Monday, Engr. Alao described Chief Ogunesan as “a beacon of integrity, competence and motherly leadership” whose contributions to the civil service and politics of Oyo State remain indelible.
“On behalf of my family, my campaign organization, and millions of progressives across Oyo State, I rejoice with our distinguished Senatorial Candidate, Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, MFR, on this special day,” Alao stated.
Engr. Alao praised the celebrant for her meritorious career in the Oyo State Civil Service, where she rose to become the Head of Service. He noted that her tenure was marked by reforms, discipline, and a renewed focus on workers’ welfare.
“Chief Ogunesan ran the machinery of government with excellence. As Head of Service, she set standards in professionalism, accountability and service delivery that many will continue to reference,” he said.
“Her MFR national honour is a testament to a life dedicated to service and nation-building.” The APC governorship hopeful added that the former HoS brought dignity to public office and mentored a generation of civil servants who now serve across the state and federal levels.
“Oyo North needs representation that understands governance, that understands the people, and that can attract development. In Chief Ogunesan, we have all of that,” he said.
“She is a grassroots mobilizer, a technocrat, and a mother to all. I am confident that with her experience and network, Oyo North will have a strong voice at the National Assembly.”
He called on party members in the 13 local government areas of the senatorial district to rally behind her candidature ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Engr. Alao prayed that God would grant the celebrant long life, sound health, and more grace to serve humanity and the APC.
“On this new age, I pray that the Almighty will continue to strengthen you, protect you, and crown all your efforts with success. May this new year bring greater impact, victory, and fulfillment,” he prayed.
He also urged APC members in Oyo State to use the occasion to reaffirm their commitment to reaffirm their commitment to unity, as according to him, “our collective strength is what will deliver victory for our party from top to bottom in 2027.”
Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, MFR, served as Oyo State Head of Service and is widely regarded as one of the most respected technocrats to have come out of the state. She is currently the APC Senatorial Candidate for Oyo North.
