All Progressives Congress [APC] governorship aspirant in the just-concluded Oyo State primaries, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, has mobilized party members at the ward level to support the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during Saturday’s presidential primary exercise.

Alao, popularly known as “Allow-Alao,” participated in the exercise at Ward 12, Iroko, in Akinyele Local Government Area, where he joined APC members to cast their votes and coordinate grassroots mobilization for the president.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, the Iroko-born politician expressed strong confidence in the Tinubu administration, describing the president as “a political enigma who understands the needs of Nigerians.” He said the president’s policies, though demanding in the short term, are designed to deliver long-term economic stability and growth.

“I enjoined Nigerians to exercise more patience with the president. With time, Nigerians will be better off with his policies in the long run,” Alao stated.

He noted that the turnout and enthusiasm at Ward 12 reflected growing grassroots support for Tinubu’s second-term bid within Oyo State.

“The presidential primaries are taking place today. I am here to personally mobilise support for our dear president, and the result is overwhelming here at Iroko. This is a major assignment of electing our president at the primaries, and it went well,” he said.

Alao, who contested the APC governorship ticket in Oyo State during the recent primaries, has been consolidating his political structure under the “Allow-Alao” movement ahead of the 2027 election cycle. Party members at the ward described his presence as a boost to mobilization efforts and a signal of party unity behind the president.

The APC presidential primaries held across multiple wards in Oyo State on Saturday are part of the party’s internal process to ratify President Tinubu as its candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Political observers note that sustained grassroots engagement by party leaders like Alao will be critical to the APC’s strategy to maintain its base in the South West ahead of the next election cycle.

Alao concluded by urging APC members across Oyo State to remain united and actively participate in all party activities, stressing that internal cohesion is key to securing victory for the party in 2027.
