Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, popularly known as “Allow-Alao” and a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in the recently concluded Oyo State primaries, has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of his late political ally, Dr. Hammed Yahaya, who passed away a few days ago.

Dr. Yahaya served as one of the Ogbomoso Coordinators for the Allow-Alao political family and was a key figure in mobilizing grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections. Until his untimely death, he was actively involved in political strategy, community engagement, and voter mobilization within the Allow-Alao political structure in Ogbomoso and its surrounding communities.
Engr. Alao arrived at the deceased’s residence accompanied by members of his campaign team and close political associates. He was warmly received by grieving family members, political allies, and friends of the late coordinator, who escorted him to meet with the widow, Mrs. Yahaya, and the children.

During the visit, Alao offered words of comfort to the bereaved family, urging Mrs. Yahaya to remain strong in the face of the irreparable loss. “This is a moment of grief for all of us, but we must take heart because this is beyond human control. Dr. Yahaya was a dedicated and reliable hand. While he lived, he carried out every responsibility assigned to him with commitment and loyalty,” he said.
The governorship aspirant prayed for divine comfort for the family, asking Almighty Allah to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss and to admit the deceased into Al-Jannah Firdaus.

Also present during the visit was Alao’s Personal Assistant, Pastor Yemi Benjamin Afolabi, who shared poignant recollections of his last phone conversation with Dr. Yahaya, which took place shortly before the conclusion of the APC primaries. He described the late coordinator as a man deeply passionate about the party’s progress and the growth of the Allow-Alao movement.
Before departing, a family friend offered prayers for the Yahaya family and for the continued success of Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao’s political aspirations, asking God to guide his path as he intensifies grassroots mobilization across Oyo State.

The visit underscores Engr. Alao’s reputation for maintaining close ties with his grassroots structures and supporters, even in moments of personal loss. Dr. Hammed Yahaya’s death has been described by associates as a significant blow to the APC’s grassroots mobilization efforts in Ogbomoso ahead of the 2027 political cycle. His legacy of dedication and service is expected to inspire continued efforts within the Allow-Alao movement.
