Oyo: Allow Alao Commiserates with Chief Adelabu Over Kidnap of Sister, Twin Children, Calls for Urgent Action on State Insecurity

Prominent Oyo State gubernatorial aspirant, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, known as Allow Alao, has expressed deep sadness over the recent kidnapping of the sister and her twin children of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Engr. Oyedele Alao extended heartfelt sympathy to the Adelabu family, describing the incident as a painful reminder of the escalating wave of insecurity bedevilling Oyo State. He prayed for the safe and swift release of the victims and urged the family to remain strong during this trying period.

“I am deeply saddened by this ugly incident involving the family of my brother, Chief Adebayo Adelabu. No family deserves to go through such trauma. I commiserate with the entire Adelabu family and pray that God grants the abductors no peace until they release the innocent woman and her twin children unharmed,” Engr Alao stated.

The kidnapping adds to a growing list of security breaches in the state, including the recent abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire LG of Ogbomoso, which has sparked widespread outrage, protests, and an indefinite strike by public school teachers.

Engr. Allow Alao lamented the daily occurrences of kidnappings, banditry, and other violent crimes across Oyo State communities. He called on security agencies and the state government to treat the situation with the urgency it deserves.

“The current level of insecurity in Oyo State is unacceptable. Families are living in fear, businesses are disrupted, and our children can no longer learn in peace. I urge the security agencies: the Police; the military; and other relevant outfits; alongside the government to rise to the occasion, intensify intelligence gathering, and deploy all necessary resources to rescue the victims and restore normalcy,” Alao added.

Allow Alao further stressed the need for a collaborative approach involving local government chairmen, traditional rulers, community leaders, and all stakeholders to tackle the root causes of insecurity. “This is not a time for blame games or politics. Human lives are at stake. We must work together to make Oyo State safe again for all residents.”Tagged Adebayo Adelabu, Allow Alao, Ibadan, Oyo State
