Allow Alao, Fawole, Ogundipe, Sadare, Others Pay Final Respects as Hon Kunle Jenrade is Laid to Rest

A wave of solemn reflection swept through the Iyana Church residence of late Hon Kareem Kunle Jenrade, a respected political leader, who was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites, drawing a magnitude of dignitaries, political associates, and sympathizers from across Oyo state.

The late statesman, Hon Kunle Jenrade, renowned for his unwavering contributions to democracy, good governance and grassroots development, who died on Friday was also buried on the same day, in line with Islamic traditions, which emphasize prompt interment.

The funeral prayer was observed at his home, where clerics, family members, and well-wishers gathered in large numbers to offer prayers for the repose of his soul.

Among those present were top APC leaders, government officials, statemen, traditional rulers, and 2027 election aspirants, all of whom came to pay their last respects and stand in solidarity with the bereaved family. Tributes poured in, describing the deceased as a visionary leader, bridge-builder, and advocate for unity and progress.

Among those present include, a leading gubernatorial aspirant from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao); the APC Chairman in Ona-ara LG, Hon Wasiu Kolawole Ogundipe; former majority leader for Oyo House of Assembly, Hon Olukayode Bola Fawole Hon Olukayode Bola Fawole, Party leader from Oluyole LG, Chief Lekan Adeyemo;  Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant, Hon Ademola Wasiu Alli; Hon Ismail Akanni Ere and other top APC leaders from Ona-Ara LG, Egbeda LG and entire Oyo State including all the APC State Assembly aspirants from Ona-Ara LG.

Engr Allow Alao in his words described Hon Kunle Jenrade as a leader of huge legacies with the many lives that he has touched and the institutions he helped shape. “He was a man of integrity and purpose, whose commitment to public service inspired many. His absence will be deeply felt,” he said.

Family members expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, stating that the presence of distinguished guests and sympathizers was a testament to the impact the deceased had during his lifetime.
